Then cut into strips, and then into uniform little squares...

A general idea of what I'm envisioning...
We'll see what it ends up looking like. ;)

Great pattern!! The colors look nice together too. My Grandma made a quilt for my parents years ago that had this pattern its my favorite. Looks like you've gotten pretty far on yours!
